About Tessa
Tessa came into LWB’s China Healing Home in 2017 as a tiny baby. She was born prematurely and was treated for pneumonia in the NICU. While in the hospital, she was diagnosed with hydrocephalus. Tessa spent a few months in our Heartbridge Healing Home, gaining weight and strength and charming everyone with her cute expressions. She was subsequently discharged to a care home in Beijing and then back to her orphanage. Recently, Tessa’s orphanage noticed there was a problem with her shunt, and she was sent to the hospital for diagnosis and treatment. Tessa may need surgery in the future to make sure her shunt works well. She has now been admitted to the healing home for care and monitoring while doctors determine her further care. Tessa needs a team of sponsors to support her healing home placement.
