Human Trafficking Aid
Help for the vulnerable
We know it's difficult to even think about, but Cambodia remains a prime source country for young children trafficked into sexual exploitation and forced labor.
Many are taken across the border and live through things no child should ever experience. The police round up children they find every single day. In just one year alone, at least 145,000 children found in Thailand were deported by truck to the Cambodian border. Here they are let out, often completely on their own, to face a very uncertain future.
LWB has created a Safe Haven foster care program for children who have been trafficked or abused to ensure they have a secure and nurturing place to land. All children receive the medical and nutritional support they need, as well as specialized educational help so they can attend school, often for the first time in their lives.
- Safe Haven Foster Care Program
Love Without Boundaries is working along the border region to help these traumatized children have a safe place to heal. Our Safe Haven foster care program places both trafficked and abused children into sheltered home environments where they can go to school, often for the first time in their lives, and know the nurturing love of a family. The children’s progress is monitored closely while reunification efforts are investigated.
