Let Love Rise
We need your help this holiday season.
Your support makes it possible for LWB to help and protect
some of the most vulnerable children around the world...
Beatrice came into LWB’s care in 2016 after being paralyzed from the waist down following a surgery her orphanage had arranged for her spina bifida. LWB found a loving foster mom who could give her the nurturing care she needed. This sweet girl thrived in her foster family for almost two years until we received the terrible news that her orphanage was recalling every child who lived in home-based care back to the institution. When LWB moved our Anhui Healing Home inside a local PT hospital earlier this year, Beatrice was one of the first children we were able to move back to our care. Sadly, she arrived completely shut down, as orphanage life had been very difficult for her. We’re determined to help her learn to trust again and celebrated mightily when her first sweet smiles appeared once more. We’ll never stop loving Beatrice and will do everything we can for her to have a brighter future and a permanent family of her very own.
When Jerome first came into our hands, he weighed just over 2 kg and was like a weak baby bird. The LWB nannies made sure his every need was met, gently holding and feeding him to help him regain his strength. Now Jerome is a healthy 2-year-old who loves running and dancing. He has earned the wonderful nickname of "Smiley Boy."
Ten-month-old Hazel came into LWB's care this past summer after police found her completely on her own. With good nutrition and lots of TLC from the healing home nannies, her health was transformed. She’s now a happy little girl who loves smiling at everyone she meets.
Audrey and other children in western Cambodia face immense challenges, including extreme poverty, little access to education, and chronic malnutrition. LWB has ongoing programs in several rural villages to help children transform their lives. Our medical and foster care programs provide both physical and emotional healing, and our extensive school and nutrition programs help children from toddlers to teens.
