Four Heart Patients, Far From Home

For the past few weeks, our LWB India team has been busy welcoming and caring for four little heart patients who traveled from Africa to Amrita Hospital for surgery unavailable to them in their home countries. While the children prepare for surgery and recover, their parents stay together in the regular ward of the hospital and provide each other with moral support as they wait for their children to get their essential cardiac repairs.

A Trio of Travelers Prepare for Heart Surgery in India

Over the past year, Love Without Boundaries has helped 18 Ugandan children with heart defects travel to India for cardiac repair surgery. There are very few pediatric heart surgeons in Uganda, and many parents are desperate to find help for their children. Helping Others, One Smile At A Time

Julia Decker is on a mission — a mission to help others like her. Born in China with a bilateral cleft lip and palate, Julia lived in an orphanage for the first three and a half years of her life. An anonymous donor sponsored her lip surgery, which she feels was a catalyst to her getting adopted. “If I had not received this amazing gift, I might still be living in an orphanage and not with my amazing family.” Julia is now dedicated to helping other children born into the same circumstances.
