SPECIAL PROJECTS

Tuan Yuan Adoption Assistance Grants

In 2004 we began offering adoption assistance grants—not to prospective parents, but to CHILDREN from China’s waiting children adoption program. When funding is available, we look for a “waiting child” who has not yet found his or her family and offer an adoption assistance grant to pay for the orphanage donation in the hope that it will increase interest in the child. The right family just might be one who could use some help with the adoption fees.

“Tuan Yuan” means “bringing families together.”  We believe that EVERY child deserves to have a family of his or her own.  Your donation will help to bring the most important gift of all—the love of a family—to a very special child.

The Tuan Yuan program is excited to announce that Min Feng has a family! This is a wonderful family for Min Feng and we can hardly wait to receive word that they will be bringing this precious little boy home. Many thanks to everyone who worked hard to get the word out about this very special boy and CONGRATULATIONS to Min Feng’s adoptive family!!! Min Feng is our first Tuan Yuan recipient of 2008. Please scroll down to donate to this program and help us provide a grant for another very special child to find his or her family. Thank you!!

We are so grateful that our Tuan Yuan Adoption Assistance Grant program is fortunate enough to have two grant recipients at this time. With many thanks to our generous donors, we are pleased to announce our second grant recipient of 2008.

Shang is a 10-year-old little girl who is currently residing in foster care in Guangdong Province. Shang was born on April 29, 1998 and was diagnosed as being a carrier of Hepatitis B, a manageable condition with reasonable precautions taken. More information about Hepatitis B and many other conditions is available in our Special Needs Manual available here. Shang's file is at La Vida International.

For more information on Shang please contact Amanda Young at info@lavida.org or by calling 1-800-513-1910.

There are many more children who are deserving of loving forever families but who need an extra boost to find just the right family. Please help us continue to make Tuan Yuan Adoption Assistance Grants available by donating to our program. For a limited time, every donation of at least $35 to our Tuan Yuan Program will receive a silk purse and special acknowledgement card from Love Without Boundaries. The purses are single compartment and measure 8" x 6". They were purchased on Shamian Island and donated to our Tuan Yuan Program in the hopes of helping special needs children find the loving families they deserve. Your donation will truly make a difference in the life of a child who is waiting to be loved by a family!
