Love Without Boundaries’ programs have helped many children with special needs. In order to help orphanage nannies and foster parents to better understand the medical needs of the children in their care, an educational manual featuring brightly colored photos and explanations of each need was compiled. Each section was reviewed by doctors and specialists in China and the U.S. who have experience with pediatric medical needs. The Special Needs Manual has been distributed at provincial training sessions in both Fujian and Henan provinces so far.   At these sessions, top physicians in China provided education seminars on each need.  On the second day of the training, provincial adoption officials explained how to submit adoption paperwork to the orphanage staff so that even more children with medical needs can receive families of their own.

An English version of the manual has been made available on CD for potential adoptive parents and others. We have tried to keep the cost low so that as many interested people as possible can benefit from it.
