Welcome
We are Jamie and Stacy...sisters that are very passionate about running with a purpose...sisters who's hearts are to run for medically fragile orphans in China!!Jamie: I am a homeschooling mom to 3 amazing kids, married to the man of my dreams, and deeply in love with my Savior Jesus Christ! I LOVE running, which may sound weird but it's true :) My family is everything to me, my kids, my husband, and the whole klan of us of which there are about 20. I am blessed to have 2 amazing sisters who are my best friends who always cause me to strive to be a better person, and love me even on my worst days and for that I am truly blessed.Stacy: I am a very blessed wife and mama of 8 miracle babes. I am passionate about my Savior, Jesus Christ...my family, adoption, helping orphans, homeschooling, and running!
My motivation
Jamie:Why oh why would I ever choose, on purpose, to run 26.2 miles through LA? Well, I will tell you why! I have been deeply, truly touched by adoption and Love Without Boundaries especially. You see I have 7 adopted nieces and newphews, whom I LOVE with all my heart! One of those sweet blessings came from a LWB home. I know the amazing impact they have been able to have on the most fragile lives. The lives that they have been able to save through generous people like you. As I am training and hitting some scary mileage :) the one thing that keeps me going, when every muscle in my body wants to quit...the sweet face of little Reilly is what motivates me to not quit. You see we can't even understand that there is NO one there for these little ones! When they are sick or sad, there is no mommy to hold them, to rock them, and to kiss their tears away. While I can not go and rock, hold, or kiss them, I can keep putting one foot in front of the other to help them get the surgery they need. So that they can live and have a chance at callign someone momma and daddy and to never feel alone again. How could I NOT run, how could I NOT care. It is what God has called me to do, so what about you? Can you help this sweet one?Stacy: My greastet motivation to run on Team LWB is my love for this organization. Not only am I passionate about all they do for the children in China, our family has personally affected by them. We adopted our precious son, Solomon, in Sept. 2010. He was 4 years old which means he spent the first 4 years of his life living in an orphanage. He has a significant medical need that requires daily care. Our sweet boy lived in an orphanage that was sponsored by LWB...what did this mean for him???? 4 years of good nutrition, 4 years of monitored medical care, 4 years of education, 4 years of having the best life a child could have living in an institution....living in an institution is NOT where children belong but if they have to be there, having LWB there to meet their needs is an incredible blessing! This is a debt we could never repay!
I RUN TO CHANGE THE LIVES OF THOSE LEFT BEHIND!
