I am Cheryl Rivero and I will run the first half of the marathon for Zhoa. I am a homeschooling mom of 3 beautiful boys. They are the pride of my life. If any of them needed any medical attention, I would do whatever it would takes to get that medical attention no matter what the cost. I would spend whatever money I had to make sure they would be well. The idea that a small child with loving parents who cannot provide this same quality of care, just breaks my heart.
I am Liz Muise and I will be running the second half of the marathon for Zhoa. I am married to an incredibly supportive and wonderful man. We have 5 active children who are cheering me on. Knowing that just a little on our part can give Zhoa such a great future makes this adventure a "no-brainer." Donate any amount and know Zhao has her whole life ahead of her because of you.
My motivation
We are the Classical Conversations Community of Orange, California and as a community we are working to raise the money for Zhoa Yi to have her heart surgery.
The child we chose is not an orphan but a child with loving parents who have done whatever they could to get their precious baby girl the medical attention needed to save her life. Just like us, they are doing all they can to help heal their beautiful baby girl. This is where we come in. We will run for them. We will do what they cannot. We will fight through the pain, deal with the sweat and sore muscles and finish strong to help this fmaily. You come in with your support and donation of any amount. Together we will go the distance for this family because Zhoa Yi and her family are worth it.

By looking at her photos you would never guess that 8 month old Zhao Yi has a heart defect. Zhao Yi's family arrived at the hospital seeking help to heal her heart. She has a heart defect called Tetrology of Fallot which requires surgery to fix. Since she is already at the hospital and is ready for surgery we would love to see her funded quickly and be on the road to a healthy life. By sponsoring my event, you will be helping children like ZhaoYi receive the life saving surgery they desperately need.
