Coats for Kids Project
With school beginning and fall approaching, and shortly thereafter the cold winter months arriving, many parents start thinking of buying warm clothing for their children, in order to keep them warm when they are outside. Many children in China, however, do not have central heating in their homes, orphanages, or schools and will wear their winter coats both outside and inside in order to keep warm through the winter months.
LWB's Coats for Kids project has been very successful over the years and last year provided warm coats and clothing for hundreds of orphaned and impoverished children in our programs and in rural areas of China. It is that time to launch this year's coats drive. At a cost of $15 to $25, depending on the type and size of coat, this project is an easy and affordable way to give children the tangible gift of warmth, and we hope you will consider providing one, two, or three coats for children in need.
