Philadelphia Marathon - Dave Dammer
Dave Dammer is participating in the Philadelphia Marathon on November 23, 2014, to support LWB's Emergency Medical Fund on behalf of children with urgent medical needs. He states:
"As a family with two adopted children from China, we know the importance of childhood healthcare for orphans. Love Without Boundaries works to address key medical needs, as well as other areas of importance in orphans' lives, such as education, foster care, orphanage assistance, and nutrition. Make your impact felt by kids around the world through a donation to this effective organization, and I will run Philly with the focus of all of your hearts!"
LWB is so grateful to Dave and everyone who supports our emergency medical fund, as many times we only have a few hours to get a child the care he or she needs to save a life. Catey is one of the children who has been helped recently with urgent medical needs.
Baby Catey was found with a cleft lip and also a large protruding sac from her abdomen, which was discovered to be a severe umbilical hernia. She underwent immediate surgery and is recovering in the ICU. We learned that she also has a heart defect; so she will need additional testing to find out what future medical care she will need.
Your tax-deductible donation in any amount to sponsor Dave in the Philadelphia Marathon will help make a real difference in the lives of children like Catey requiring urgent medical attention. Your donation may be made securely online, or your check can be sent to:
