It is always the goal of Love Without Boundaries to give each child the very best care possible. In our work, we have found that many of the children we serve are underweight, have chronic infections, or simply need a higher level of care than can be provided in an orphanage setting. In 2006, after brainstorming about how we could provide the extra care that some of our children need before and after surgery, we created the Heartbridge Pediatric Healing Unit, in partnership with New Hope Foundation in Beijing.

The Program

Heartbridge is located on the second floor of New Hope Foundation's home in Beijing. Two rooms provide a total of 18 beds for our most medically fragile children.

LWB typically provides numerous surgeries each month. Our medical team watches carefully for any children who are particularly vulnerable and may need the extra support that our Heartbridge Unit can provide.

How You Can Help

There are many opportunities to help our Heartbridge residents. In order to fully fund each child’s nurturing care, we need several sponsors for each child. Sponsors will receive monthly updates on their child, as well as general monthly updates about the unit as a whole.

We gratefully accept both monthly general sponsors and one-time donations to support our Heartbridge Pediatric Healing Unit. These funds are used for the most urgent needs that arise.
