Anhui Cleft Healing Home

The ACHH is the very first outreach home devoted to caring exclusively for babies born with cleft.   Our Anhui Cleft Healing Home helps change the lives of medically fragile children. This home is a warm, safe place for the most vulnerable babies with cleft to be sent.  Trained aunties devote their time to the careful feeding of the children, ensuring that they gain the weight needed for their surgeries.   We are very pleased to be partnering with Anhui Children's Hospital.   The doctors frequently check on the health of the babies, and provide surgery at the first possible opportunity.

The Cleft Healing Home has fifteen beds in a home-like environment.   We accept babies with cleft in need of intensive care from any orphanage in the province.   The babies receive loving care and rich formula from cleft bottles that make it easier for them to eat.   Our nannies care for only two to three babies each and have been specially trained to feed these children so they can gain the weight they need to be healthy and receive surgery.   LWB provides the children's surgeries and cares for them post-op until they are healed.   The children stay in the Cleft Healing Home for approximately four months.  Once fully healed, they return to their orphanages with the best chance possible of finding an adoptive family.   With your help, the lives of more than 30 children each year are be changed.

It costs approximately $60,000 a year to run this home. There are many opportunities to help. Read further to see how you can make a difference in the lives of these vulnerable children.

$50 per month
In order to fully fund the care the children receive in the Healing Home, we will need several sponsors for each child in our care.  Each sponsor will receive a monthly update and photos of their sponsored child.

$100 per month
A $100/month sponsorship will help us cover the cost of running our home so that we have a place to send fragile babies born with cleft. A $100/month sponsor will receive 2 children's monthly updates including photos.

We accept both monthly sponsors and one-time donations to support our Healing Home. These funds are used for the most urgent needs that arise.   Any amount is so appreciated.   Monthly updates on the home will be sent to the general donors . Click here to donate to the General Fund.
