Every school has its honor roll, and so do we! These children are supported through tuition and/or tutoring and have excelled in their schooling. We are exceptionally proud!

Jocelyn from Shantou, Guangdong
Jocelyn made great progress this past quarter. In speaking class, she never used to repeat the teacher's words. The teacher decided to concentrate on teaching her a few simple words, and now she likes to repeat what the teacher says. The language block has come down, and hopefully she will be "talking a blue streak" soon. |

Joseph from Jinjiang, Fujian
Joseph is an outstanding student because he has made such remarkable progress since our school opened. He couldn’t say his name, hold a pencil, say hi to his teachers or participate in class activities just a few short months ago. Now he can say his name, greet his teachers, hold his pencil and attend to his work, especially colors and numbers! His teachers say he is a very good boy and loves to learn! We are so proud of how much he has achieved in such a short time! Way to go, Joseph!

Tim from Kaifeng, Henan
Tim is a very hard working teen-ager, who as a resident of Kaifeng SWI, must now make a plan for his adult life. He was recently been accepted into a vocational school for dentistry. This program is 3 years of vocational school plus two years of college. The school is well known and its graduates all obtain good jobs, no matter what the dental specialty. Tim has had a great support team to help him on his way. Tim’s team includes his LWB sponsors, the LWB tutor for the older kids at Kaifeng, the LWB program monitors and all of us who have come to know him through the program updates. The whole team is cheering for his continued success!

JD from Special Project, Rural Hunan
JD is an extra special young man. In May, he received surgery for a cleft lip and palate. At that time, LWB could see that he was small for a ten year old boy. Furthermore, we learned that JD was living with an elderly grandmother after the man that took him in as an infant passed away. However, JD’s grandmother was struggling to keep up with raising enough food on the family farm and guidance to ensure JD’s success in school.
Through sponsorship and donations, LWB was able to offer JD a tutor for the summer to strengthen his academic skills. LWB also provided some much needed food and clothing to his family to increase chances for his successful learning and development.
By August, JD is a new boy. His new mile wide smile is bright and cheerful. He has been learning academic skills at rapid speed and his teachers have commented on the improvement in his character, socialization and academic achievement. Congratulations JD on making LWB’s honor roll.

Hope from Jingzhou, Fujian
Hope is enrolled in Believe In Me Jingzhou. She is consistently an excellent student. She loves to work hard, help her teacher and help her friends learn. One of Hope’s favorite activities is acting as a teacher during each monthly performance the students give that demonstrate what they have learned over the past four weeks. Every photo LWB receives of Hope in school is of a girl deep in concentration as she learns or beaming with the joy of being in school. Hope is truly an honor student. We are thrilled to honor her here.
